I'm using LTC6813-1 in my application. I would like to test the chip for cell balancing. I'd like to know if there is any auto cell balancing feature available in LTC6813-1 wherein the cell voltage threshold is set & upon reaching that threshold, the IC starts cell balancing.
The same can be implemented after integrating with a BMS but I'd like to know if there's a feature inherent to LTC6813-1.

Yes, this is the only way to enable the DCC bitfields in the configuration register.

No, the converse is possible with the Extended Balancing state where the cell balancing will automatically stop if a UV Threshold is hit for a Cell that is undergoing balancing. Please refer Discharge Timer Monitor section in the datasheet for more information.
