Question about Broadcast command of LTC6811-2 (with addressable interface)

Hello, 
 
 My customer is reviewing the LTC6811-2 and they have a question about the format of Broadcast write command. 
 At the format in LTC6811-2 Datasheet is like below. 
 
 And the format in LTC6804-2 Datasheet is like below. 
 
 Should they add Shift byte 1 ... Sh i ft byte N bytes for using Broadcast Write command in LTC6811-2? 
 If they should add these bytes, would you let me know why these bytes are added eventhough they use a addressable interface?

These are not needed when using the LTC68xx-2 parts. Broadcast commands will write the same data or perform the same action on all attached LTC68xx-2 devices. If different data is needed on an individual monitor, the address commands should be used instead rather than shifting in different data to each device in a daisy-chain as is the case in LTC68xx-1.)
