Plugging in the charger will turn the device on. Unplugging the charger after that will not turn the device off, and it will not turn off until a manual reset occurs or the battery dies. Once the battery dies, the user will need to plug the charger back in, which will turn the device back on. This effectively creates an always-on PMIC.
