Question: The datasheet lists the supply current for Active/Hibernate/Shutdown modes without thermistor current. Is the internal temperature sensor current rolled into those three supply currents? As I can’t find a separate mention of it in the datasheet (I did find the 200uA bias current for the external thermistor though).
Answer: The die temp is included in the current consumption numbers. If you want to use the thermistor, the bias only happens for about 20 ms out of a 1.4s period, so it still doesn’t significantly increase the consumption current. In hibernate, the bias only happens once per hibernate time, default of 5.1 seconds, so the impact is further reduced.
