The V_DRV pin of the MAX17597EVKIT stays at 5V when the enable pin is forced low, is this normal?
Yes, the MAX17597 has an internal linear regulator that supplies voltage to the rest of the IC, it is fed from the V_IN pin and so it is always connected regardless of the enable pin state.
