Pin 9 of MAX17572 is the power supply input pin of the internal LDO. The type of connection will depend on the output voltage. If the input voltage is greater than 5V, the wiring should be in accordance with Figure 4. If the input voltage is 3.3V, this pin can be directly connected to GND.
