Customers observed LX switching waveform missing after Max17250 powered up with no load. They wanted to know whether this meets expecation whereas the output voltage is in regulation.

This is consistent with Max17250 operation. Max17250 utilizes fixed on-time/minimum off-time pulse frequency modulation architecture. Max17250 internal switch operates only as needed. The switching waveform without load can be found on page 6 in Max17250 datasheet.
