There are two versions of the MAX15301 available. The MAX15301AA02 has a later version of the firmware that disables the functions for the MOSFET gate control so the pin LXSNS is no longer needed, and since it serves no function the datasheet for the MAX15301AA02 says it would be better to ground it. But if you were updating an older design the LXSNS pin can still connected to LX when using the MAX15301AA02 and it will have no effect.
