Failure is just the beginning!

"Failure is not fatal, but failure to change might be." John Wooden

For me, the opposite of "failure to change" is personal growth.  Personal growth comes from a number of sources but when developing technological solutions, how we manage failure is often a difference maker.  Start with developing expectations that are based on product documentation, learn what you can about how to observe key behaviors, make assumptions where needed and just give it a shot.  Don't be reckless, but be willing to risk early failure so that you can blend experience with your education.  As John Maxwell says, "Experience is not the best teacher, evaluated experience is the best teacher." Never stop learning, but keep moving forward!
