Coherent phase alignment across multiple transceiver channels is important for many applications. As demonstrated in the video linked here, a pair of Vanteon's vProtean SDR SoMs, based on ADI's ADRV9004 integrated transceiver, are used to realize four (4), phase-aligned, transmit and receive channels by implementing the Multichip Synchronization (MCS) feature of the ADRV9004. The received signals are displayed in the time domain to show their phase alignment. The MCS signals are routed between the two vProtean SoMs via a custom designed carrier board. Not shown, a larger system of sixteen (16), phased-aligned, TX and RX channels has been achieved using four sets of the 4-channel sub-system demonstrated here.
