As part of a medical device project, Tri-Star was tasked with developing a circuit used to identify leakage currents across specific impedance mediums including a patient and caregiver.  The design had to be a small fully integrated low cost solution that could be designed and tested within the tight time constraints of the proof of concept phase. Verifying design behavior across specific impedance characteristics required a solution capable of analyzing impedances utilizing a broad range of frequencies.  After a comprehensive analysis of likely solutions, the Analog Devices ADuCM350 was chosen based primarily on cost, size, performance and evaluation hardware and software available.
