Hardware setup for SHARC Audio Module and Clockworks A2B EVM as a SHARC FIN for development

The first picture illustrates the typical hardware setup for using the SHARC Audio Module (SAM) and EVM hardware with the Analog Device's A 2 B software and SAM Bare Metal Framework using CCES. The second is the SigmaStudio A 2 B topology design that matches that hardware setup. More details about this setup can be found in the Clockworks A 2 B EVM User Guide.

Using the Clockworks A2B EVM with the SHARC Audio Module

Most developers will need to obtain the Analog Device's A 2 B add-on package which contains add-ons for SigmaStudio, an API library, and examples and documentation about using A 2 B. For applications where the A 2 B slave devices are operated in a default configuration and the provided A 2 B network topology is all that is needed then the package from Clockworks for the A 2 B EVM will be sufficient. Though package is an overstatement, it's just the exported .h file output of SigmaStudio based on the topology. That .h file is included in your SHARC Audio Module software source. It's perhaps easiest to use the SHARC Audio Module Bare Metal Framework Wizard (part of the CCES add-ons available from ADI) to create a project with A 2 B and then edit it to use the new .h file instead of the Wizard generated one.
