MAX8804 chip could support operating voltage range of 4.15V ~ 7V. When the input voltage exceeds 7.5V, the protection is turned on and the output is turned off.
When the input voltage is less than 30V, the chip will not be damaged, but will not work when input voltage is higher than 7V.
