The DS1875 can be used to compensate for the non linear response of Avalanche Photo Diodes. This correction is done by a piecewise linear approximation of the nonlinear APD diode response
One of the DS1875's input channels (MON3) has two ranges (fine and coarse), each with an independent scale and offset, to correct for the nonlinearity of the received power.
