The IC should work in a standard socket with a pitch of 0.100”. The DS1225AB is sold in a JEDEC standard 28-pin DIP package. JEDEC standard indicates a pitch of 0.100”.
If you look at the package outline, it says that the minimum pitch is 0.090” and the maximum pitch is 0.110”. The minimum and maximum values are listed to show that there might be slight variation in the pitch as we cannot guarantee the pitch will be exactly 0.100” each time, but it should never vary more than 0.010”. Even if there is some variation in the pitch, the DS1225AB should fit into a standard 28-pin DIP socket.
