Stepper Motor Driver Chopper Noise caused by Sense Resistors Type
Some sense resistors have an increased inductivity due to their internal structure. We found meander type sense resistors lead to high motor noise and bad microstepping performance. The scope shot reveals a lot of noise on the sense resistor caused by stray inductance (sense resistor voltage and motor current).

The meander style in a sense resistors often is not visible from documentation and sometimes it even is not visible from the resistor itself without opening it.

It is recommended to use a flat thin film sense resistor.
