Q:
When we make OUT pin(12V) of MAX15096GWE+T into short by using load machine, glitch will occur in PG pin.
Based on spec, the behavior is not reasonable. Could you help to confirm the issue?

Please make sure there is a properly-sized Schottky diode clamp on VOUT. Since the MAX15096 is powering a load through a cable in this application, the only effective fix is to make sure there is an adequate Schottky to catch the inductive energy stored in that cable at turn-off. No amount of on-PCB layout changes is going to get rid of that stored energy otherwise… the output current will continue to flow until the energy in the cable inductance is dissipated. So a good Schottky with low Vf and low resistance has to be there to shunt the current around our IC
