What are the differences between DS26528 to the DS26518?

The difference between DS26528GN+ and DS26518GN+ are:
- Hitless Protection Switching is available in DS26518 while it is unavailable in DS26528.
- DS26518 has two kinds control interfaces:
· Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI)
· Microcontroller Parallel Port
Any one of these can be selected through a hardware pin.
- DS26528 has only Microcontroller Parallel Port as the control interface.
Except from these differences, DS26518 and DS26528 has similar functionality.
DS26528 is software compatible to DS26518. DS26518 can be made pin compatible to DS26528 by setting bit 3 of GTCR1 register (This can be done in the software). But if you are replacing DS26528 with DS26518, it will cost a hardware change as DS26518 needs 1.8V supply for internal logic.
