The MAX2992 is an older narrow-band powerline communication solution which supports a legacy version of the G3-PLC specification only. While there are no plans to drop support for the MAX2992, for new designs we recommend the MAX79356 ZENO solution which has better system size, cost, flexibility, and performance.
