Can Maxim provide data on current consumption of MAX9867, when operated from DAC to headphone path with a speaker load of 16 ohms?
In the data sheet's electrical characteristics table, Maxim provides the "Total Supply Current" of MAX9867 in DAC playback 48kHz stereo mode while driving no load. That provides you some insight on the stand alone current consumption of MAX9867 when operating in the given playback configuration. Maxim doesn't provide data on the current consumption of MAX9867 while driving a specific load. That might be dependent on various parameters such as supply voltage of the codec, configured DAC gain, output audio frequency and the speaker load.
