I want to use the evaluation board EVAL-LTM4712-A2Z for this IC but with 1V or less input at low current 1-2A to start up with. It will normally work once started at 5V to 14V output when 20A to 40A is required. Up to 35Vin.
Can I supply the EVB from 5-10V via the EXTVCC pin, thereby overcome the input restriction of 5V minimum?
If this is not possible, can you recommend something else with an EVB.
The application is for dynamo management for a Veteran or Vintage car.
