Person Detection Application

Hi guys,

During the last meeting with one of our customers we identified a new project.
To give you an overview, I have listed the information I received below with the hope of hearing your opinions.

Person Detection Application

• The customer is still collecting ideas at the moment.
• Laser Scanners will not be the preferred solution according to their initial estimates.
• Tendency towards ToF (Time of Flight) sensors, radar.
• Customer is currently comparing the advantages and disadvantages of different technologies.
• Goal is to monitor an area.
• Distance range between < 1m to approx. 5 - 10 m. People in the detection area are to be detected - moving or static.

Are there any initial ICs we could start the conversation with?
