I am using the TMC2660 to drive a 2 coil stepper motor. Here are my two problems that I am encountering:
1) I have noticed that sometimes after my motor moves and then stops, it will begin to vibrate while it is in its holding position. Why is this happening and how can I stop it / reduce vibrations?
2) Whenever the stator is transitioning between coils, there is a click / or one short vibration. For my application, I am using 256 micro steps per full step and I notice this pulse once/twice every 256 micro steps. I assume this is occurring because the magnet is midway between two coils.
For my application, I am most interested in minimizing vibrations at all times. The motor only moves for short spans (<50 micro steps over a few seconds infrequently).
Do you have any recommendations on what to do to minimize these vibrations?
