What is the purpose of the ITEC or VTEC in TEC drivers in closed loop implementation ( TEC + TEC Driver + PID) ? In my understanding, ITEC can be used to monitor TEC current ( which will differ based on TEC itself) to limit Imax ( improve TEC aging ) or monitor how hard TEC is being driven. Is there anything else?
