AD5273 Programmable Digital Potentiometer

We use the AD5273 for adjusting contrast on a LCD we use in our design.   The LCD is changing and we no longer need the AD5273 to adjust contrast but we have to leave the AD5273 in the circuit because the microprocessor software is co-dependent on the AD5273 reporting back the wiper position register data.  If the Micro does not receive the data back from the AD5273 the program locks up and changing the software is not an option. Is it acceptable to leave the A,B and Z - I/O's floating?   Will leaving A,B or Z floating cause unwanted ringing or oscillations?   Do we need to leave them all loaded?

Thank you.
