Even though the MAX30102 datasheet says that other sampling rates can be selected for the part, the MAX30102ACCEVKIT GUI displays the message "HR/SPO2 only valid for Fs=100Sps" due to the internal algorithms written for the device to calculate heart rate (HR) and peripheral capillary oxygen saturation (SpO2). They require a sampling rate of 100Sps. This does not reflect the capability of the device itself. Also, customers can still log the PPG samples using the evaluation kit.
