ADPD 105 Dual Slot ECG measure

Hi there, 

I am working with the ADPD105 and i try to measure a synchronous ppg and ecg signal with the dual slot settings. Its working perfectly if I measure just PPG signal but i could not find the right set up of the registers for the synchronous ecg and ppg. Could anyone please send me a register setup for the dual slot mode?

    Hi Marcell,

    Please consider ADPD4100 for synchronous PPG and ECG measurements, it has much superior performance. ADPD105 is a very old part and we strictly do NOT recommend ADPD105 for new designs. For new designs, please use newest generation ADPD4100.To measure ECG and PPG with a single IC, the best option with high performance for both PPG and ECG is ADPD4100.

    The ADPD105 has 8 inputs and two timeslots per sample. The best way to perform a synchronized ECG and PPG measurement would be to configure the device such that it makes the PPG measurement using the synchronized pulse detection scheme on one of the PD1-4 inputs in one of the available timeslots. The actual ECG measurement would be made by the AD8233, a single lead ECG measurement IC with a voltage output. Synchronization of the ECG and PPG measurements is achieved by feeding the output of the AD8233 into one of the PD5-8 inputs of the ADPD105 on the other available timeslot. Since the AD8233 has a voltage output, this must be converted to a current by placing a series resistor between the output of the AD8233 and the input of the ADPD105. The timeslot making the ECG measurement would be set up in TIA_ADC mode.

    As I said, ADPD105 is really old and we do not recommend it for new designs. Please consider ADPD4100 instead, which is the new generation IC that allows single chip to measure ECG and PPG synchronously, and allows bioimpedance measurement, SpO2 measurement, ECG, PPG, heart rate monitoring etc with just a single chip, therefore no need to synchronize two chips.
