I have just received the ADPD103 evaluation board, EVAL-ADPD103Z-GEN, and I downloaded the GUI from the eval board website. When I try to run the evaluation board it either doesn't connect, or I can't get the graph view to show any data.
It is possible that the GUI has been updated since the evaluation board was tested and put into stock. If that's the case, then you would need to upgrade the firmware to the most current version. This can be done by selecting the "firmware update" tool from the "Tools" pulldown in the GUI and following the prompts.
Thank you for the quick response. The problem for me is that the target does not connect at all and therefore there is nothing to flash. So when I try to run the firmware update tool either from the GUI or manually, the response is target not connected.
In that case, then it sounds like it's possible that the drivers did not install properly. If you look in the device manager of your computer do you see that the device shows up as a COM port? If that is not the case, then the drivers did not install properly. If you do see the device on a COM port, then the drivers are installed OK and you should be able to run the CM3WSD.exe tool manually. That is done without the use of the Wavetool software.
Thanks Kevin. Together with ADPD105 Entry (as below), firmware update is quite easy.
Under CM3WSD, one should NOT forget the buttons (pressing Download button on the board while pulsing RESET button).
