Wrist based heart rate - pulse oximetry solution from Analog

Hello,

Is there any wrist-based (reflective) solution from ADI for heart rate/pulse oximetry monitoring?

In particular, does Analog offer:

- Analog front end (AFE) for reflective HR/SpO2 sensing, preferably with integrated optics (Leds/PDs)?

- If optics are not integrated recommendation for 3rd party optical components to use

- Validated algorithm (FDA grade?) to derive Heart Rate and Saturation levels from the PPG signal acquired by the AFE?

- Evaluation kit to evaluate the performance of the suggested solution

Many thanks in advance for any advice

    Hello,

The latest AFE for heart rate and pulse oximetry is the ADPD4100. Here's a link to its predecessor, the ADPD4000 which is released: https://www.analog.com/en/products/adpd4000.html. The ADPD4100 is sampling now, more information on that device can be obtained through your local sales channel. This device has more functionality (8 inputs, 8 LED drivers, 12 sensor measurements per sampling period) at higher SNR (~100dB) and lower power than any previous AFE released by ADI.

We have an optical module for HRM on the wrist, ADPD188GG: https://www.analog.com/en/products/adpd188gg.html, but nothing with red/IR for SpO2. The reason being that SpO2 on the wrist doesn't lend itself to small module geometries, and the best option for that measurement on the wrist is going to be a discrete design with separate LED/PD at the proper spacing.

We do have a reference design for SpO2 on the wrist and we also have algorithms, but you will need to contact your local ADI sales rep to start those conversations.

    Regards.

    Kevin
