When connecting to TMC4671-TMC6100-BOB the Landungsbruecke error LED lights up

Thread Summary

The user encountered issues with the Landungsbruecke Module v3.1 and TMC6100 driver board, where the error LED lit up and motor did not rotate in open loop mode. The solution involved using the standard firmware version 3.11.4 and setting the driver board to TMC6100-BOB instead of TMC6100-EVAL. Additionally, applying VM (24V) was necessary for SPI communication with the TMC6100. The user noted that no SPI data is transferred while CS_DRV is low, but data is transferred while CS_CTRL is low.

I have a Landungsbruecke Module v3.1. The firmware is "LandungsbrueckeV3_v3.09.6_BL_TMC4671_TMC6100_BOB".
The wiring is as specified in the “tmc4671-tmc6100-bob-firmware-guide” manual.
As soon as I select the motion controller board or the driver board, the error LED on the landing bridge lights up.

The registers of the TMC6100 are all set to 0 and cannot be changed.

The motor also does not rotate in “open loop” mode.

Is there a solution to this problem, or am I doing something wrong?

  • Hi PhiMo,

cool that you were able to solve it!

The driver may come up with error condition, as it has seen undervoltage on some of the supplies during power up. It should be solved once you clear the error flags.

Yes, power supply has to be on for our ICs to work correctly. :-)

Hope you get it running. Unfortunately I have no experience with the board. In case questions arise, you should find help in our support portal.
