Product Number: TMC5160
Hi Everybody,
I've just received my TMC5160 EVAL kit, and I have problem with connecting to it with the TMC IDE.
How can I directly connect to it through PC? I've tried with an USB/RS232 converter, connected with an RS232/RS485 converter, and
connected the RS485 + and - signals to the TMC5160's SWIOP and SWION pins, with an 1k pullup resistor between the SWIOP and +5V.
The I/O supply pins get the +5V supply. What's the problem? Should I use MAX485 or similar transceiver IC?
Also added 120 Ohm termination resistor. The wiring is as short as 20cm.
