Aduc7023 program with USB-I2C/LIN CONV-Z

Hi,

What is the operating system you are using? Are you using an evaluation board or your design already?

Can you try the installer in the attached file? The installer should include the software: I2CWSD.

Have you initiated the download mode entry sequence? I have attached a user guide, including a section about the I2C programming interface.

You can try the I2CWSD and let me know if there are still any wrong messages.

How many times i can program the Aduc7023 with the USB-I2C/LIN conv-z？ The hex file was burned into the MCU yesterday. But it isn't work whatever i try to program. The interface of the I2CWSD display "Timeout", It seems to inconnect with the Aduc7023. The 25 PIn (BM serial enable) is set “0” adcorrding to the user guide.  

You can program the Aduc7023 multiple times. The "Timeout" could happen because the I2CWSD is not detecting the Aduc7023 in download mode.

What should I do to the BM PIN and REST PIN of the aduc7023 before I click the Start botton of I2CWSD software？what is the order of my operation？

Ensure to power ON the device before initiating the download mode sequence.

The sequence should be:

1. Click start on the I2CWSD
2. Connect BM PIN to GND
3. Connect Reset PIN to GND
4. Disconnect Reset PIN to GND (Reset PIN should have Pull Up)
5. Release BM PIN from GND

when I click Start, the I2CWSD displays a “Timeout” quickly. there is only one second. I donot have time to set BM PIN to GND. 

sometimes I set BM to GND quickly, but it still doesn't work. what is the reason. I have tried  to change a MCU min-board and re-installer the i2cwsd.

I tried many times, and a few times it worked. The code has been burned into and runed successfully. The burning prgram is so hard. why is the burning program so unstable through the USB-I2C/LIN CONV-Z? Is there anything I should pay attention to?

Is it relate to the supply power? The voltage of the aduc7023 is from to the VDD of the USB-I2C/LIN CONV-Z moudel. The VDD is +5V. 

I haven't encountered a similar issue. You can try entering the download mode before clicking Start on the I2CWSD. I'm not sure if this could help.

I'm not sure if this is related to the power supply, but you can try monitoring the BM and Reset Pins if they are pull down correctly.

When initiating the download mode sequence, the device first transmits 0x08. You can try checking the I2C pins with a logic analyzer. If the device does send 0x08 after initiating the download mode and timeout still happens, I think that maybe the issue is with the USB-I2C/LIN CONV-Z dongle.

Thanks. I tried to change the power to +3.3V, but it didn't work. Maybe you are right, something wrong with the USB-I2C/LIN CONV-Z. I'll take into consideration that change an USB-I2C module.
