ADuC 7061 JLink "Cannot stop ARM device"

If you can't erase the chip in Keil, you can try using the ARMWSD downloader.

You need to enter the serial download mode of the device. I attached a pdf that shows how to do so.

When using the ARMWSD, the device communicates to the PC using UART, so you need a UART to USB cable. You will also need to use P1.0 and P1.1.

The chips are not responding. With and without hard RESET

There should be some confirmation when the device enters the Serial Download Mode.

Have you initiated the sequence to enter serial download mode?

To enter serial download mode:

Pull down and Hold Pin 29 (NTRST) to GND

Pull down and Hold Pin 1 (RESET) to GND

Pull up Pin 1 to DVDD

Pull up Pin 29 to DVDD

Yes for:

Pull down and Hold Pin 1 (RESET) to GND

Pull up Pin 1 to DVDD

To clarify, are you first pulling down and holding Pin 29 (NTRST) to GND before pulling down Pin 1 (Reset) to GND?

Attach a UART. Launch ARMWSD. Configure: ADuC7061, Mass Erase, Bound Rate 19200.

Power ON

Start ARMWSD.

Pull up Pin 1 (RESET) to DVDD

OK!
