how to write coding in c for ad7472 using avr

hello guys, Im new here. i hope u can help me how to write coding in c using avr microcontroller to control the external ad7472 conversion, my supervisor ask me to do that. the problem is i dont know how to control the cnvst because i never used avr. 
 sorry for my poor english.
