I keep getting a make error 255 when I try to make a HDL project on Windows using GNUwin:

The suggestions on the wiki (https://wiki.analog.com/resources/fpga/docs/build) to verify the environment setup by executing the "which ... " commands all seem to be showing that it should work.Do you have any suggestions on how to make this work? Thanks in advance!

Hi,It seems that the way the makefiles are written is not compatible with GNUwin. Can you try the GNU make from cygwin? If you use the hdl master branch you can build directly from Vivado using tcl procedures, described on the same page you posted.Andrei
Hi Andrei,I built the project directly from Vivado with the Tcl scripts. It is a bit more time-consuming, though, since every library dependency has to be sourced seperately. If installing a Unix emulator is not an option, this is the best way for building a project in Windows.
