Q
What is Wakeup Mode? Is that the same as Autosleep?
A
Wakeup Mode is a limited bandwidth mode of operation that consumes a mere 270
nA. In this mode, acceleration is measured 6 times per second and can be used
to determine the presence or absence of motion.
Autosleep is a feature in which the accelerometer intelligently manages its own
power consumption based on the presence or absence or motion. When it senses
absence of motion (inactivity), it switches into the Wakeup Mode, and switches
automatically back into
full-bandwidth Measurement Mode when it senses the presence of motion
(activity) again.
