EVAL-ADXL362Z-MLP threshold setting

Q

We use the eval board EVAL-ADXL362Z-MLP. When we set the thresholds of motion
detection in “sleep mode”. At the end of the timer “Inactivity time registers”
the interrupt pin INT1 falling to 0 even when we are in continuous motion. For
about a few milliseconds before detecting the movement. I think this is a
setting problem  but I do not tune the evaluation software. Attached you can
find the screenshot of the problem.

A

This should be because of the threshold setting. 1mg threshold is too low,
500mg or higher is suggested, you can make the THRESH_ACT and THRESH_INACT to
500mg at the same time and play with the EVB again.

Here is the issue, the noise density of ADXL362 is 550ug/rtHz (X,Y axis),
920ug/rtHz (Z axis) in normal operation, you set bandwidth to 50Hz (100Hz ODR
and Half BW bit is not check in the GUI),
The RMS Noise of Z axis is 920*sqrt(1.44*50) = 7.8mg, it is over the threshold
already. So, the interrupt output cannot be predict in such situation.

We have updated the ADXL362 EVB to include the inclinometer demo, you can
download the latest version from the link below.
