The MAX9621 has specified conditions for Rset to provide optimum performance as stated on page 4 of the datasheet (Rev. 2). Please note that in our internal testing an Rset of 30K ohms has not been tested as only RSET values of 61.9 kΩ, 95.3 kΩ, and 52.3 kΩ were evaluated.
We recommend that you test and validate the performance of the device with 30 kΩ in the context of your specific application to ensure it meets your requirements.
