Hi.
I want to know about the shock survivability of this device for 400g in 0.5 second.
i need to know that Does this gyro can survive this shock in this duration ?

Thank you for your post. We might not be able to take a definitive position on this, due to export regulations and availability of a test apparatus for validation. I will do some digging and post any useful information that I find out.
thanks.
Looking forward to hearing from you
I have heard back from my colleague and he offered that he would certainly expect survival through this type of event, but can offer no assurance of operation through it. I hope that helps.
We tested a couple of previous products such as ADXRS150 and ADXRS300, in order to identify its ability to survive in random vibration ( rms exceed 20g, three-axis input at the same time, it cost 3 thousands dollars for one day experiments ) 10 years ago. The results showed that the output of the gyros decreased from 2.5V to 1V during the test, if you stop the test and turn off the power, the gyros can work normally after turning it on again. We analyzed that three-axis random vibration can results in unexpected motion of the proof mass. High shock experiment at three-axis is more difficult to achieve than three-axis random vibration. Compare to the other company's products, we choose to trust the datasheets of the ADI products, based on our long-term using experiences.
We appreciate you sharing your vote of confidence and your observations. The ADXRS150 and ADXRS300 were part of our first generation products. The following generations (ADXRS61x, ADXRS62x, ADXRS45x, ADXRS64x) were tested more extensively in these types of environments, with the ADXRS64x (ADIS16445, ADIS16448, ADIS16485...) being specifically designed for these types of environments.
