3 axis accelerometer for car crash measurement

Hi,

Objective.

I will design a car crash device that measures G forces during car testing, I need to read real time data(stream) for three axels and store it in memory for post processing.

1. I have been evaluating the ADIS16227 for a car crash analyze device but I have finally understood that it is not possible to read out realtime data from it)(stream the data), is this correct or are there some ways to do that?

2. if this(1 above) is not possible what sensor is the best where my demands are SPI interface and 10 k samples for three axels simultaneously?

3. I have so far found ADIS16228 but I from what I understand I can only read out on axel at that rate which means I need three devices, is that correct?

    I am sorry that this was missed.  We are in the process of addressing the gaps in our coverage of this forum.  This is probably too late, but here are some thoughts that may help in the future.

    First, the ADIS16223 comes in the same package as the ADIS16227 and has a mode where it will continuously poll the 3-axis of acceleration at a sample rate of 72.9 SPS. When an event trips the user-selectable level, it will fill a 512 sample FIFO with the subsequent response.  For more information on this mode, please see the ADIS16223 datasheet, page 12 (rev 0):

    The ADIS16228 will only support real-time in one axis right now.  Sorry about that! You might also want to check out the ADXL375 (3200 SPS) or ADXL377 (analog output) for smaller options.

                               I used ADIS16223 for my project but it is not giving Continuous real time vibration data,can you suggest

    a Sensor for me with below requirements:-

    These are my requirements:

    1. It should give Continuous real time Vibration data.

    2. Continuous samples should be accessible from the buffer over SPI.

    3. It should give 3-axis data(X,Y,Z).

    4. Sensor must have high sampling rate available.

    5.In one of community responses, you have suggested ADIS16227 which can provide continuous data samples. Can ADIS16227 shall be configured for sampling rate of 100.2 Khz when acquiring continuous data for long period, Please confirm?

    6.We would be acquiring vibration data for around 1 min in our project as it requires continuous monitoring of vibration patterns.

    NEVADAMARK: unfortunately, we do not have a sensor solution that provides ADIS16223-like attributes, which also provides continuous real-time data streaming.
