ADXRS453 Vs ADXRS642

Question

Hi, 
 I am undecided about which of these two sensors i can used to design a good stabilization platform for unmanned vehicles. 
 What are the pros and cons of these sensors? What do you recommend? 
 The sensors will be subject to high vibration.

Hi MrRipple, 
 1. ADXRS453 and ADXRS642 are all good at vibration rejection. 
 2. ADXRS453 is digital output part with full temp calibration. 
 ADXRS642 is analog output part, more easier to do customized AFE. 
 3. ADXRS453 has SOIC and vertical mount package which means you can use one PCB to build orthogonal system, 1 SOIC ADXRS453 + 2 VMP ADXRS453. 
 You need 3 PCB to build orthogonal system with ADXRS642. 
 4. ADXRS453 can support both 5V and 3.3V supply. 
 ADXRS642 only can support 5V supply. 
 These are the main difference between them.

Hi MrRipple, 
 You can say so but ~80Hz BW is enough for most platform stabilization applications. That really depends on your system. If the rotation speed will change suddenly or you need faster response time to do close loop control, then wider BW definitely can help. The trade off is wider BW, more noise, as RMS Noise = Noise Density * sqrt(filter gain * BW). You probably also need acceleromter to do sensor fusion for your application, then you can also consider ADXL103/203. 
 As Mark said, ADIS16448 & ADIS16445 could also be a good start for you as they intergated accelerometer and gyro already, even the magnetometer and barometer. What you need to do is the algorithm developing with it and the chip itself has taken care the most hardware design section.

For digital output, you can consider ADXL350. For analog output, you can consider ADXL335 / ADXL326, depends on the g range that you need.
