I am not able to find documentation for the mating connector, which the ADIS16210 suggests in its datasheet. Where do I find this information?
This refers to ADIS16210 datasheet (Rev A), page 17, section titled "MATING CONNECTOR." For reference, here is an excerpt:
The mating connector for the ADIS16210, J2, is AVX P/N 04-6288-015-000-846. Figure 25 provides a close-up view of this connector, which clamps down on the flex to press its metal pads onto the metal pads inside of the mating connector.
As companies re-organize, purchase other companies, obsolete products, re-number products, etc, it is very tough to keep up with third-party references in our datasheets. We will eventually update the ADIS16210 datasheet to improve the information, but for now, we can offer where to find appropriate information. At the time of posting, a quick Google search of the part number, as listed above, would generate the appropriate information. Today, I noticed that it was a little tougher to get to the appropriate information. So, here is a quick summary of what I would want to have, if I were designing a PCB for this. This is part of the 6288 series from Kyocera.
In addition, note that ADI is in the process of developing CAD library parts for the ADIS16210, which we expet to be online, sometime in April. In order to check on these, go the ADIS16210 home page (www.analog.com/ADIS16210, then click on "Symbols and Footprints," which is normally right below the block diagram on the page.
