ADIS16228 Remote Evaluation

Question

I am concerned that the interface PCB and evaluation board (ADISUSB) will influence the vibration I am trying to measure. Do you have any tools or information that will help me connect to the ADIS16228?

The attached file may provide an idea for how to use the ADIS16228/PCBZ and ADISUSB to accomplish this goal. There are a couple of differences between the ADIS16223 (shown in the attachment) and the ADIS16228 : 
 
 The ADIS16228CMLZ attaches to the application surface using four machine screws (M2), not a single 10-32 stud. 
 The ADIS16228CMLZ uses a different mating connector than the ADIS16223 , but the same principle will work. Cut the interface board in a manner than leaves the ADIS16228 's mating connector intact. 
 
 A few more notes on doing this: 
 
 Keep the length of the ribbon cable as short as possible. While some have been successful using longer cables, we have observed that 12 inches is a good limit in most cases. 
 For those who do not have a ribbon cable supplier and do not want to make your own, Samtec offers standard-length cables and free samples. Check out their TSCD series at www.samtec.com/TCSD . For example, a 12-inch ribbon cable for this remote connection would be Samtec part number, TCSD-08-D-12.00-01. Request a sample at www.samtec.com/samples . 
 Note that this cable and the ribbon connector on the ADIS16228/PCBZ interface PCB has 16 pins, while the mating connector on the ADISUSB has only has 12 pins. Make sure that pins 1-12 on the ADISUSB connect to pins 1-12 on the ADIS16228/PCBZ , per User Guide UG-363 .
