Full set (18) of differential thermistors

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: LTC2984

We'd like to use all 20 channels on an LTC2984 for differential thermistors (thermistor 44006 10K@25C). There don't seem to be any examples in the datasheet that show this type of configuration; instead, it uses 2 channels for each thermistor, but every second channel is connected to Rsense:

i.e. in this figure, CH17 and CH19 are both directly connected to CH16, which should (I would think?) make those connections to CH17 and CH19 unnecessary/redundant.

So the question is: is there any way to have 18 differential thermistors connected with a shared Rsense? The LTC2984 configuration tool says that this is fine, but the schematic it's drawn doesn't make any sense (note that each of CH3-20 are configured in the tool to use CH2 for Rsense):

Assuming that the tool is correct and that this is a valid configuration, could Analog please provide a schematic showing the proper connections for this kind of configuration?

Thank you!
