Electrode Selection Guidance for AD8233 in Wearable Chest Strap Under water Application

Hi Analog Devices Team,

We are evaluating the AD8233 as the ECG analog front-end for a wearable chest strap intended for swimming / underwater monitoring. The project is currently in the initial feasibility stage, and we are evaluating suitable electrode types and configurations.

We would like your guidance on the following:

1. What type of electrodes are commonly used with AD8233 in wearable chest strap applications (e.g., Ag/AgCl gel electrodes, dry conductive rubber electrodes, textile electrodes)?

2. Are there any recommended or commonly tested electrode part numbers or vendors that have been validated with AD8233?

3. Are there any reference designs, application notes, or guidelines available for electrode selection and placement for wearable ECG systems using AD8233?

Any reference material or tested electrode specifications would be highly appreciated.
