The functionality of ADIS16575.

Thread Summary

The user inquired about the magnetic sensor functionality of the ADIS16575, specifically regarding drift error, composite navigation with GPS, and azimuth recognition. The final answer clarified that the ADIS16575 does not include a magnetic sensor, but it is used for leveling and GPS augmentation. The device supports composite navigation and leveling operations but cannot recognize azimuth without a magnetic sensor or GPS.

Hello.

I would like to check the functionality of ADIS16575.

(1) Is the accumulated value of drift error constant with respect to the amount of movement of the magnetic sensor (when moved)?
Example: ADIS16575: Error in 1 hour (3600 seconds) is 2°.

(2)I would like to check the function of the magnetic sensor of Analog Devices.
Is it possible to support composite navigation and leveling operations using GPS?

(3) Can the magnetic sensor function of the above-mentioned device of Analog Devices recognize azimuth without using GPS?
Please let us know if there is any means other than GPS to recognize azimuth.

Best regards.
