Is ADXRS649 suitable for measuring angular velocity (spin) of the tennis ball?

Category: Datasheet/Specs
Product Number: ADXRS649

Hello,

We are developing an indoor tennis gaming device. The device looks like a tennis ball on spring. The ball after the shot flies for 0.3s and then returns back. We are interested in measuring the angular velocity of the ball during the first 10ms after the racquet touched the ball at least once per millisecond.  A +-10% error is ok for us.

During the target 10ms period the ball rotates somewhere in between 10000..20000 degrees/second and has linear acceleration 100..400g.

Is ADXRS649 a good fit for our use case? Or it won't work in such tough conditions?

Best regards,
