ADIS16210, Can Not Get Correct Data

Thread Summary

The user is experiencing incorrect inclinometer data with the ADIS16210, showing bit conversion issues and up to 50 LSB error. The final answer suggests verifying the data ready signal and reading the PROD_ID register (0x3F52) for debugging. The user should also consider nulling the part if it does not read 0 degrees after power-up, as detailed in the 'Accelerometer Bias Correction' section. No mention of DI01 pull-up circuit or specific register settings (0x12, 0x14, 0x16) affecting the issue.

Hello,

I'm a DFAE in Japan.

Our customer has tested 3 pcs of ADIS16210 and can not get correct inclinometer data.

<Phenomenon>

Seen Bit Conversion and max 50LSB error of output

<Condition>

- Used 3 pcs of ADIS16210 demo bords and fixed them to customer's PCB using four screws.

- VDD=3V

- DIO_CTL:0x36=0x05, AVG_CNT:0x38=0x07, MSC_CTRL:0x34=0x00

- Sampling:4Hz (4 times/sec), Data Reading:2 times/sec

<Question>

- Any other setting other than 0x36=0x55 in order to set DI01 high active data ready?

- DI01 needs pull-up circuit?

- Address: 0x12, 0x14 and 0x16 (Null) are something related to this issue? Customer do not anything to these registers.

- Though customer uses hard reset, soft reset is also needed?

- Is this issue related that the interruption signal applied during INACTIVE condition?

Thanks,

Kazu
