ADIS16490 Vibration Rectification Error

The ADIS 16490 datasheet has mention of Vibration Rectification Error, but does not describe how it works. 

What is the expected behavior of the ADIS16490 when the linear acceleration is above the dynamic range (+/- 8g), but under the absolute maximum (1500g)?

Specifically:

  • What are the effects on the gyro out registers?
  • If the accelerometer reading is used in calculating the rotational velocity, does a linear acceleration slightly above 8gs (ex 10g) cause the gyro reading to fail?
  • What about a linear acceleration well above (ex 100g)?

Follow up questions:

  • If high g vibration makes the Vibration Rectification Error feature fail, can the Vibration Rectification Error feature be disabled?
