I have a question about “SYS_E_FLAG Watch dog timer flag” for ADIS16480.
Please tell me the conditions for detecting the watch dog flag.
If the flag is 1, should we do assert the hardware reset and write the setting to the register again?
Please see table.60 on the datasheet.
The ADIS16480 does not have a watchdog timer.
Are you supplying power to VDDRTC? This might explain why the watchdog timer flag is high.
I believe you can safely ignore the watchdog timer flag while using the part.
I have a correction for you and apologize for the misinformation. The "watchdog timer" on that ADIS16480 has a potentially misleading name with respect to its function inside the IMU. This flag is intended to alert the user that an internal fault inside the IMU has occurred and that the microprocessor was reset. The net result may be missing and/or suspect data from the IMU while the reset was occurring. Reading this register should reset this flag.
